About the Steampunk clock
"This is a Steampunk-style clock, built using the movement from a French comtoise clock, which dates from the mid-1800s. It is a weight-driven mechanical clock and strikes on the hour, then again a few minutes later. It also completes a passing strike at the half hour. The stand is made from one-centimeter square steel rod and can be built in one piece, or can also be made in two parts for easy transport. The movement case is cut away so that the working parts can be seen. I then make new knotless hooks, key and other parts. The dial I make from 2mm thick solid brass and engrave to your personal specifications, which could for example show the name of your house or village. This clock is incredibly robust and looks equally great in a modern house or in more rustic surroundings. It will run for many years with very little maintenance, and as long as it stands level it is very easy to setup".
